Our story.
Two minds. One Soul. A passion for adventure and the driving force for exploration.
After spending much of their childhoods dreaming of travel, Evan and Caillin set out to explore just a little bit of what the world has to offer as young adults. From Tasmania to Kruger, Vik to Budapest, across tundras, deserts, beaches and forests, these adventures were as much about self exploration and freedom as they were about global travel.
Often finding himself behind the wheel of whatever vehicle best fit the budget of the trip, Evan is no stranger to the pitfalls of lesser purpose vehicles. In New Zealand, he learned the benefits of having a kitchen, even a small one, built into a vehicle. In Australia, cold snowy nights near Cradle Mountain with nothing but a sleeping bag and folding seats emphasized the benefits of a heater and oh ya, a real bed. While traveling Northern Canada, growing shin splints from jumping from the roof of the Jeep day in and out made him consider the importance of a ladder.
For Caillin, always the navigator and trip planner, these same trips held their own lessons. From navigating time zones and travel schedules throughout Australia, to calculating ferry costs and fuel in Northern Canada, each trip held its own challenges.
All of these experiences were unique in their own way. Each ill-purposed vehicle got the job done, allowing for fantastic experiences. The lessons learned from over a decade of travel haven't stemmed the desire to explore, but instead grown a passion for sharing exploration with others. Camp Van Company is their family project, each product, service and vehicle worked with their experiences in mind. As their family continues to grow, one thing is certain. The desire to Get Out.
